Loved Thomas! A fun, emotional and steamy read!

Loved Thomas! Thomas's mate literally runs right into him. Pamala is caught in a crowd with a vampire hot on her boots when she runs into a large lycan male and asks for help. Pablo catches up, spouts some smack, than takes off. Pamala is not happy with her Beta mate and is beyond snarky about it. OUCH!, I really felt sorry for Thomas. Dean and Jem finally mate. Pablo finally gets what he deserves. Bartholomew is really shaken by the recent events and near losses to his Pack and wants to distance himself, maybe even disappear, that is until Dean's sister shows up. Deanna, is going to make life intresting for the very old Vampire! A fun, emotional and steamy read!

Another good story!

Dean and Jem finally mate after she really gives him the runaround. I have to admit I love adding bear shifters to this mix! :) Thomas finds his mate...err...she actually finds him when she ran into him literally and asks for his protection after Pablo is after her. Pamela's thankful but wants to move on and keep running. Not sure why she would think she's in the clear with that vampire. She's totally stubborn and not very nice to Thomas and honestly he's not nice back a couple times. Not his fault really she really does some humdingers on him. Ha. Pablo gets his though...he was too cocky for his own good. Bart kinda freaks because he has been very close with the pack. He's a part of it and Jem being so close to death and like a daughter to him really rattled him and he felt he needed to distance himself. I dont blame him but thats not the answer. However, his answer DOES come into the form of Dean's sister Deanna. Oh...Bart is there to stay. Great ending!

This is a great book for anyone who is on the dating scene. It tells you just about everything you need to know about dating and includes all the "Do's and Dont's" It has a few formatting issues but it is still easy to read and understand.

Crusade!

Engaging collection of information about the Crusades as I was unsure of the details. Shares that Pope Urban II got people upset by saying that the Holy Land was overrun by infidels/pagans. He explains that if a person goes on to Crusade that it will be penance for sin and a person can discharge debt. Also a new way of salvation.

The first one took off in 1095-96. Unfortunately the people going were not trained warriors. They would take the cross emblem like it was a Nike logo and think if they held it up people would just fall down. It did not happen. Actually, the first Crusade did manage to liberate Jeruslem briefly. But the people involved were also known to be looters so the whole thing was not looked fondly upon. An oxymoron to the teachings of the Bible where Jesus died on the cross rather than fight.

Eventually other Crusades followed, along the way more mayhem occured as well as needless killing. King Richard I attended the Third Crusade and battled to stalemate. After reaching an agreement he killed the people anyway. Also the idea was used the killing minorities, really sad. Throughout the book are pictures of paintings including one of the killing of some people, sickening. A couple of maps are featured as well as statues of people such as El Cid (1961) Charlton Heston [All Region, Import, Wise Screen, NTSC].

No background information and hard to follow.

Christopher Tyerman's Crusades could have been a whole lot better and more reader friendly. The entire book was extremely jumpy and hard to follow with facts scattered all over the page with no background information. I cannot imagine being someone with no background information on the topic trying to understand this book. If I have not taken prior history courses I would have no idea what Tyerman was talking about. The Term "A Brief Insight" is a poor term for this book. The book is brief, but far from insightful. I have not attempted to read any of Tyerman's other books, but if they are anything like this one I would recommend anyone to stay away and find one with more background information and easier to read for those not knowing anything on the subject.

Great comic, great art!

Short, hot, and fishy

Good and definitely what I was looking for in terms of content but there was a sad lack of story. I would have really enjoyed a more logical progression of events or even a continuation into what happens after they decide life on land is too hard. It really is pitifully short. The art style is unique in that it deviates from more anime like or beautiful paintings and is more like highschool or undergrad comic work. I reminded me of doodling in my art book or sketching for the school paper comic run. I also loved how the characters are represented in various body types. Overall well done, just too short.

Mermaids and lesbians! What could be better?

only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars was the ending page--it seemed too abrupt and unfinished. But other than that, it's a nice fun read.
Megan Rose does a great job with cartoony, sexy women. They aren't all skinny ladies either, she can make chubby girls look hot too. I love the way she draws wavy hair and the little bitty hearts that appear when a character is overcome with love or lust.

Don't get this for kids, this comic is adults only. Good clean fun. But dirty. Support this fun artist now!

About the Author Greg Harvey, the author of over 50 computer books, has had a long career of teaching business people in the use of IBM PC, Windows, and Macintosh software application programs. DOS under Windows 98 (The online version of this Part has been abridged.)

Filenames

Microsoft finally bestowed the gift of long filenames upon us. No longer are you tethered to the dreaded 8.3 (eight or fewer characters in the filename, three or fewer characters in the extension) filename specification. Using those long Windows 98 filenames in DOS

But what happens to those long filenames when you're at the DOS prompt? Nothing. Huh? Well, okay, you do have to work a little harder to see the long filenames, but they are still there. When you're at the DOS prompt, Windows 98 truncates long filenames so that they adhere to the 8.3 specification. Here's an example:

Windows 98 filename: This file has a long filename

Truncated version: THISFI~1

Both of these filenames refer to the same file. The second version is what you get when Windows 98 pares down the long filename to fit the 8.3 specification. Of course, if your Windows 98 filenames are eight characters or fewer, Windows doesn't pare them down at all.

Can you use long filenames at the DOS prompt? Yes, you can. Just enclose the filenames in double quotation marks. Directories are files, so they can have long names, too. Be sure to enclose the entire path in double quotation marks. Of course, you can always use the short version of the filename. Here are a couple of examples:

COPY "C:\FILES WITH LONG NAMES\THIS FILE HAS A LONG

FILENAME" A:\

COPY C:\FILESW~1\THISFI~1 A:\

DEL "THIS FILE HAS A LONG FILENAME"

DEL THISFI~1

Use the method that you are most comfortable with. Personally, I hate to type the ~ thingy.

If you want to see the long filenames from the DOS prompt, just type DIR and press Enter. The long filenames are displayed to the right of the file date-time stamp. If you want to see just the long filenames without all the clutter, type DIR /B and press Enter. You'll see the files listed in long-name format.
